Privacy Policy

SHERPA is built on a simple principle: your data is yours and yours alone.

1. Data We Collect

None. SHERPA does not collect any personal data, usage data, analytics, or telemetry. Our App Store privacy label reads: "No Data Collected."

2. On-Device Processing

All features of SHERPA — including the AI assistant, knowledge base search, survival tools, and maps — run entirely on your device. No data is sent to any server. The app is designed to work 100% offline.

3. Location Data

SHERPA requests location permission solely to provide compass bearings, GPS coordinates, and map positioning. Your location data:

• Is processed exclusively on your device
• Is never transmitted to any server
• Is never stored persistently (unless you explicitly save coordinates in your journal)
• Uses "When In Use" permission only — never background tracking

4. Camera

If you use the plant identification feature, camera data is processed on-device using Core ML models. No images are transmitted or stored outside your device.

5. Health & Medical Information

If you enter medical information for your ICE (In Case of Emergency) card or QR Medical ID, this data is:

• Stored locally on your device only
• Never transmitted to any server
• Deletable at any time via Settings > Delete All Data

6. Bluetooth / Mesh Networking

SHERPA's peer-to-peer mesh networking uses Bluetooth and local Wi-Fi to communicate with nearby SHERPA users. Messages are transmitted directly between devices with no intermediary server. No data passes through our infrastructure.

7. Third-Party Services

SHERPA does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or data collection services. We use:

• TelemetryDeck — Privacy-first, anonymous analytics. No personal data is collected. Fully GDPR compliant. TelemetryDeck Privacy Policy

8. Children's Privacy

SHERPA does not collect data from any users, including children. The app is rated 17+ due to the nature of survival content (emergency medical procedures, disaster protocols).

9. Your Rights (GDPR)

Since SHERPA collects no personal data, there is no data to access, rectify, port, or delete. However, any locally stored preferences or journal entries can be deleted at any time via Settings > Delete All Data.
