Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using SHERPA.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using SHERPA ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

SHERPA is an offline survival reference and educational application that provides:

• A knowledge base of survival information sourced from public domain publications
• An on-device AI assistant for survival-related queries
• Practical survival tools (compass, flashlight, calculators, etc.)
• Emergency reference data (phone numbers, phrases, signals)

3. Educational Purpose Only

All content in SHERPA is provided for educational and informational purposes only. The App is classified as a Reference application. It is not intended to replace:

• Professional medical care or advice
• Emergency services (call 911, 112, or your local emergency number)
• Professional survival training
• Certified navigation equipment
• Licensed communication equipment

4. Content Sources

SHERPA's knowledge base is sourced from public domain U.S. government publications (including U.S. Army Field Manuals, FEMA guides, CDC guidelines, EPA standards) and open-license international publications (WHO, FAO). All content is attributed to its original source.

5. AI-Generated Content

The AI assistant uses on-device language models to generate responses based on the knowledge base. AI responses:

• May contain errors or inaccuracies
• Are not a substitute for professional advice
• Should be verified against multiple sources for critical decisions
• Are generated on-device without internet connectivity

6. No Warranty

SHERPA is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The information is complete, accurate, or up-to-date in all circumstances
• The tools (compass, barometer, etc.) will match the accuracy of dedicated instruments
• The App will function without errors on all devices
• The AI assistant will always provide correct answers

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TRISIMIO SL and its officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

• Your use of or inability to use the App
• Any actions taken based on information provided by the App
• Errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in the content
• Equipment damage, personal injury, or death related to use of the App

You acknowledge that survival situations involve inherent risks and that the App is a supplementary educational resource, not a replacement for training, experience, or professional assistance.

8. In-App Purchases

SHERPA offers optional in-app purchases:

• Survivor Pro (lifetime): Unlocks the complete knowledge base and all features
• Specialized AI Packs: Additional content for specific environments

Purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. Refund requests must be directed to Apple. Lifetime purchases do not expire and do not require a subscription.

9. Crisis Unlock Policy

During officially declared national emergencies, TRISIMIO SL may, at its sole discretion, temporarily unlock all premium features for all users at no cost. This is a voluntary policy and does not constitute a contractual obligation.

10. Intellectual Property

The SHERPA app, its design, code, and original content are owned by TRISIMIO SL. Public domain source materials remain in the public domain. The SHERPA name, logo, and brand identity are trademarks of TRISIMIO SL.

11. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the App responsibly and not rely solely on it for life-or-death decisions
• Practice survival techniques in safe environments before relying on them
• Always prioritize calling emergency services when available
• Comply with all applicable laws regarding radio frequencies, hunting, and foraging
• Not reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the App

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Madrid, Spain, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection laws applicable in your jurisdiction.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notice.
